Océano Salus is an online database with information about health, nutrition, and education. It incorporates consultations and medical information with articles that are informative and preventive, as well as advice.

Océano Salus is an online resource center that provides access to information on health, nutrition, and education. It integrates consultations and medical information with articles on prevention, as well as advice on health education at all levels within the most useful disciplines.

Océano Salus has in its databases over 10,000 articles and 7,000 graphics and illustrations on the topics of health, nutrition, and personal care, as well as dictionaries with medical and psychological jargon in Spanish.

Océano Salus has an advanced search tool, developed by Océano, that retrieves from the databases the most relevant results for the widest to the narrowest searches:

  • Medical, nutrition, personal care and alternative medicine reference works. A selection of encyclopedias for consultations in several disciplines from the Océano database, and other sources.
  • Informative works. From health schools and specialized editors, they are educational tools that cover and develop curriculum for nursing and paramedical careers, as well as medical courses.
  • Specialized publications. A selection of journals and publications that offer news in medicine and personal care.
  • Nursing protocols. Includes, amongst others, all the nursing diagnostics as approved by NANDA. Also available is a chart with common values used in the profession.
  • The “Education” section for health containes 1,900 articles in the form of a handbook for quick consultations.
  • Anatomic atlas. Made up of 300 illustrations that cover the anatomy of the human body.
  • Medical dictionaries. This dictionary combines a medical dictionary, psychological dictionary, alternative medicine dictionary, and science bilingual dictionary to create over 33,000 entries.
  • The “Links” section offers recommended websites for the different specializations.
