Océano Saber is intended for users who access information at public libraries, universities, schools and other entities.

Océano Colegial derives information from several sources, all indexed and revised by the editorial staff at Océano:
- Over 200,000 articles in Spanish and 40,000 images/graphics at your disposal, with content specific to Spanish-speaking countries.
- Reference information. Available mostly form the Océano database, but includes other sources such as the literary dictionary Bompiani. The content is encyclopedic in nature, and includes 89,000 articles.
- Journal articles and specialized publictions. The database includes articles from selected publications. There are 57,000 available today.
- Historical documents (transcribed or digitized). Over 1,900 documents of historical value, including a complete selection from the Archivos de Indias. This articles are labeled as “evidence.”
- Literary classics (complete or pieces of works). A selection of over 650 literary works and recompilations from the most distinguished Spanish-speaking authors.
- Images. Over 10,000 images from key moments in history to works of art.
- Maps. Over 1,500 different types of maps that span the world, and include dynamic city maps.
- Anatomic atlas. Made up of 160 illustrations that cover the anatomy of the human body.
